Press play and let Scripture come to you. Genesis to Revelation, narrated in natural voices that are easy to listen to for hours. Hannah is free, and Plus adds seven more narrators, at 0.5x to 2x speed.
- Immersive Audio (Plus) adds music, background sounds, and sound effects under the narrator: a storm at sea in Jonah, the Red Sea parting in Exodus
- Keep listening with the screen off or in the background, and ask Siri to play any book
- Audio downloads on demand, then plays fully offline
- Read along as each verse is narrated
- Sleep timer for bedtime listening (Plus)
A habit that finally sticks
Pick a plan and let it carry you: seven days in John, a month in Proverbs, readings for a hard week, or the whole Bible in a year. Each day comes with a short devotional written for that passage, and grace days mean one missed morning won't break your streak.
- More than 120 reading plans, from 3 days to two years
- 1,100+ daily devotionals, one written for each day's reading
- Verse of the day, streaks with grace days, gentle reminders
Twelve hand-tuned themes
Aurora, Rose, Sky, Meadow, Lavender, Twilight, Night, and more. Colors that make opening the Bible feel like a small, daily pleasure. Aurora and Night are free, and Plus adds the other ten.
Feels like paper
Clean typography, warm paper tones, and pages that really turn (or scroll, if you prefer). Built for long, unhurried reading, with study tools waiting when you want to go deeper.
- Highlight verses and take notes
- Word study with the original Hebrew and Greek (Strong's)
- Cross-references for any verse
- Search the whole Bible by reference or by word
Made for the morning commute
Real CarPlay support. Browse books and chapters and control playback from your car's screen. Hands free, eyes on the road. CarPlay is free for everyone with Hannah, and Plus brings every narrator and Immersive Audio along.

Good to know
What app can read the Bible to me for free?
Bible for Me reads the whole Bible aloud for free on iPhone. Every chapter from Genesis to Revelation is narrated by Hannah, a calm, warm voice, and you can listen with the screen off, in the background, or in your car with CarPlay. Reading, listening, reading plans, devotionals, and streaks are free, and there's no account to create.
Is Bible for Me free?
Yes. The app is free to download and includes reading, narrated audio with the Hannah voice, 38 translations, more than 120 reading plans with daily devotionals, highlights, notes, a prayer journal, and a daily streak. Plus is an optional upgrade that adds seven more narrators, Immersive Audio, every reader theme, the sleep timer, and more: $7.99 a month, or $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial. A Family plan covers up to six people for $59.99 a year.
Does the audio Bible work offline?
Yes. Narration downloads to your phone a book at a time the first time you play it, or all at once from Settings, and after that it plays with no connection at all. The app stays small because you only download what you listen to. More about offline listening.
Does it work with CarPlay?
Yes. Bible for Me is a CarPlay audio app. Browse books and chapters, pick up where you left off, and control playback from your car's screen. CarPlay is included free with the Hannah narrator, and Plus adds the other narrators and Immersive Audio in the car. How CarPlay works.
Which Bible translations are included?
38 translations in 27 languages, all free and all readable offline. The KJV, WEB, ASV, and Bible in Basic English are built in, and the others are a small one-time download. They include Young's Literal, Douay-Rheims, Luther Bibel, and translations in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and more. Narration is available for the KJV, WEB, and ASV in all eight voices, and for Bible in Basic English with Hannah. See the full list.
Is my data private?
Yes. There is no account and no advertising. Your highlights, notes, and prayers stay on your device and in your own private iCloud. We cannot see them. The app records anonymous usage events and install attribution that are not tied to you or your content, and it never uses the advertising identifier or asks to track you. Read the privacy policy.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Bible for Me is built for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later.
